@aum

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@zzr0ck3r I think it's B.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@robtobey ?

OpenStudy (precal):

x^2 means concave up

OpenStudy (precal):

+3 at the end is your y intercept so it crosses (0,3)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A then?

OpenStudy (precal):

can't factor it since 1 times 3 is 3 but +3 means if you add the factors 1+3 =4 and you have a 2 as the middle term this means that it is prime your solutions are complex which means it does not cross the x axis at all

OpenStudy (precal):

I would go with A

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank you!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Refer to the attached plot.

OpenStudy (precal):

yw

OpenStudy (zzr0ck3r):

the discriminant is negative and thus it has no real roots, so there is only one option that does not cross the x axis. A correct:)

OpenStudy (zzr0ck3r):

lol sorry could not read someone already said the same thing.... lol
