OpenStudy (anonymous):

Which of the following is true about the Palestinian Liberation Organization? (5 points) a. It was responsible for many early airplane hijackings. b. The United States defines it as a terror organization. c. It supports the use of violence in the conflict with Israel. d. The United Nations has called for an end to the group.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

C is it because: The PLO was considered by the United States and Israel to be a terrorist organization until the Madrid Conference in 1991. In 1993, PLO recognized Israel's right to exist in peace, accepted UN Security Council resolutions 242 and 338, and rejected "violence and terrorism"; in response, Israel officially recognized the PLO as the representative of the Palestinian people.[6]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Did you even read that? PLO recognized Israel's right to exist in peace, accepted UN Security Council resolutions 242 and 338, and rejected "violence and terrorism"; in response

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The PLO was considered by the United States and Israel to be a terrorist organization until the Madrid Conference in 1991. OpenStudy (anonymous):

that?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The answer is C

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah. The correct answer was A, as OP sand I stated.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The PLO was considered a terrorist organization by the US and Israel until 1991. It did perform a number of airplane hijackings in the 60s and 70s. The UN has given it observer status, so they aren't calling for its end. The PLO has renounced its charter sections which called for armed resistance and the destruction of Israel.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The answer is C

OpenStudy (anonymous):

amonkiper15 is right guys

OpenStudy (anonymous):

How could you say that if the OP said the answer was A?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

told you

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Jihad has nothing to do with Western culture or their political beliefs.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

In jo face

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@happyrosy we're not on that questoin anymore, the OP asked a second one.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Everyone does realize the OP posted two questions, right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The first being C and the second A
