OpenStudy (kva1992):

how do you prove: cosx=(1+cos2x)/2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you meant cos^2(x) = (1/2) (1 + cos(2x)) ? it came from fact that cos(2x) = 2cos^2(x) - 1 using the double angle formula

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and you just solve for cos^2(x)
