Find the measures of two angles, one positive and one negative, that are coterminal with pi/2
So coterminal means that when drawn in standard format, meaning the initial and terminal side start at 0 degrees, and two angles that together share the terminal side are coterminal angles. Here is an example of a positive angle starting from 0-Deg when the terminal and intial side start at 0 then the terminal side forms a positive angle when rotated upward. |dw:1405311141410:dw|
Here is a picture that may make more sense.
Now a positive angle and a negative angle: The measure can be positive or negative By convention, angles that go counterclockwise from the initial side are positive and those that go clockwise are negative. Source: http://www.mathopenref.com/trigangle.html
I can't help any more than that.
Thank you! I only know the basics of terminal and all that so when this question was thrown at me I freaked out! :)
