You also have to remember it's voluntary work, you can't force anyone to help you. I usually only help people now that are really interested in the contents they are asking about.

There reason light refracts like that is because it's absorbed by different wavelengths.

We're packed with notifications. You think we get 99 without helping? Certainly not. Being an Ambassador puts more notifications in my inbox, too. I woke up with 56 this morning. So, yes, sometimes we may not feel like answering a particular question.

You say that as though we are something more than you.
We are just normal people, like you. Except we take the time out of our days to help others with their studies.
Often times, I do not even have time to eat due to so many people tagging me for help. I have recently been getting no sleep, either.
This is voluntary work, I've chosen to keep this, rather than to have a real-paying job.
I make sacrifices to help others, like you, you should at least have the patience to wait for me to come help.

I didn't answer your question because I am preoccupied with other things. I have a life, too, like everyone else. If you simply message me telling me your situation then I'll adjust time to help you. I usually help the one guy who makes an effort rather than 50+ random tags.

Imagine...
You are of a higher SmartScore..
Imagine having approximately 10 tags a minute.
Imagine you are helping a user, explaining in depth, guiding them to their answer.
Meanwhile, you are getting tagged in several other questions, and you have not yet had lunch.
Then you finish up with that one, and go to the next. More and more notifications build up.
Messages both in chat and in PM also build up.
Then you have the stuff that is going on in your life.
Do you feel the pressures?
The pressures to help all those that tag you?
Then the ones who don't even try to understand, you feel it's a waste of time.
With so much happening, so constantly, you need a break sometimes.
Do you understand that?
Do you understand that we are busy, why we don't always have the time or motivation to answer all questions?

@Whitemonsterbunny17 that's your own fault, if you're willing to not eat and help users instead. What I've learned since I've been here is only, a few people are really here to learn, the rest honestly just want the answers, you shouldn't harm yourself personally to help someone on here, though it's great what you're doing. I'm sure the user can wait, you're volunteering, and another thing, if you don't eat, you won't be able to give answers to the best of you ability :).

^ that to, I know many greens, who got it by just talking to others in chat, and not really helping. If anything, if you have an interesting question, you won't even have to tag anyone, someone will just come and start helping.

Just because someone is listed as online does not mean they are. Even if they are, well, it does not mean they are available. Also, people tag me in all sorts of topics I know nothing about, so that happens too.

Well something i've noticed over in my time o OS is that its best not to tag anyone and let people come and help you willfully. It also kind of irks me when people demand my help... it gets annoying lol
