What is the domain of the following function?

OpenStudy (dumbsearch2):

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

thats right !

OpenStudy (dumbsearch2):

Thank you :) So it's D?

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

Yep ! we need to include 3 in the domain cos there is a filled circle at x = -3, so the input -3 produces a value of -1 The arrow on top right corner indicates that the ray goes forever in that direction - so the domain would be : [3, infty)

OpenStudy (dumbsearch2):

Circle?

OpenStudy (dumbsearch2):

What circle

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

Yes ! the red spot

OpenStudy (dumbsearch2):

OOoh yes :-)

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

Filled circle = include in domain open circle = do not include in domain

OpenStudy (dumbsearch2):

Thank you
