the degree is the highest power of the variable
so what is ur answer of the 1st question ?

in the first question the answer is 2 bcoz the degree of the first term (4xy) is 2 the degree of x is 1 and y is 1 so the degree of 4xy is 2

nope the second question says that what is the the 2nd term when 3+2x^2-3x^4+x^3 is arranged in descending order
so if we arrange it in descending order it would be -3x^4 + x^3 + 2x^2 + 3 (descending order is from greatest to least) so which one is the 2nd when we arrange them in descending order?
