Working on a problem using first derivatives to find max and min. I am looking at an example of this problem and i am stuck on what i assume is a factoring issue. The example skips the step i am having trouble with. How would you get the following.
0.0765t^2-0.886t+1832=0 to get t=2.6947 or t=83887

If you use the quadratic formula, let's see ... Well, that would give complex roots if the numbers in your equation are correct. :(
