can someone tell me if this is right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (phi):

this tells you the names for different kinds of triangles http://www.mathwarehouse.com/geometry/triangles/triangle-types.php

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok so it is obtuse. did i do the solving for x right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

?

OpenStudy (kohai):

No. Not from what I'm understanding.

OpenStudy (kohai):

The formula is a^2+b^2=c^2, where c is the hypotenuse (in this case, 13)

OpenStudy (kohai):

Also, you would use 1/2 of the base, so you would use 12

OpenStudy (kohai):

12^2+x^2=13^2, would be how it looks. x^2=13^2-12^2
