List the most important duties of a US president
NOTE: I'm so sorry this is long but this is the shortest way I could explain it! Sorry! 1. Chief of State: In this position, this requires the President to be very inspiring to American Citizens. The President is also a living symbol of our nation. They award certain awards, write inspirational speeches, and greets visitors that enter the white house. 2. Chief Executive: In this position, the President decides how the laws are enforced in order to help the Executive Branch because he is the boss of millions of Americans in the Executive Branch. 3. Chief Diplomat: In this position, the presidents decides what American citizens say to foreign governments. 4. Commander-in-Chief: In this position, the President is in charge of the US Armed Forces such as the NAVY, MARINES, AIR FORCE, and ARMY. The President decides where the troops will be stationed, where ships will be sent, how weapons should be used, and when to bring home the troops. 5. Chief Legislator: Well technically only the Congress has the power to make a law, but the constitution gives the President the power to influence the Congress to make a law (kind of like persuading). 6. Chief of Party: In this position, the president helps members of his political party to get elected to a certain area in the office. 7. Chief Guardian of the Economy: In this position, the President is mostly concerned with things such as unemployment, high prices, taxes, business profits, and general concerns for the country.
