A mixture contains forty ounces of glycol and water, and it is ten percent glycol. The mixture is to be strengthened to twenty-five percent by adding glycol. How much glycol is in the original mixture?

Do you know how to set up the table for this?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no

OpenStudy (imstuck):

Give me a sec to make it up and then I will post it and explain, ok?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok

OpenStudy (imstuck):

this doesn't make sense to me. Your question is how much glycol is in the original mixture but it says that the 40 oz of solution contains 10% glycol. I'm very confused. Did you copy the problem correctly? I can't see my way through this one.

yes
