If a donut shop sells a dozen donuts for $6.00. What would the cost of a donut would be?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well we know that a dozen is 12 and we know that each doughnut needs to come to a total of $12 so we need to figure this out; If each doughnut was $2 dollars that would come to a total of $24 which is way to much so lets work this out a little more, $1 for each would be $12 dollars but that's still to much so we need to work it down even more. $0.50 for each would be a total of $6.00 and that would be perfect so your answer is $0.50
