Find an equation of the line that has the given slope and contains the given point. m=7 (-2,-4) PLEASE explain how you got your answer

OpenStudy (johnweldon1993):

You have a point...and a slope....use the point slope formula \[\large y - y_0 = m(x - x_0)\] plug in your points for x0 and y0 and then plug in your slope for 'm'

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do you know the point slope form?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it's pretty much plug and chug type of problem

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thank you both! I learned this a while back and for some reason could not remember the point slope formula! THANKS

OpenStudy (johnweldon1993):

Anytime :)
