OpenStudy (dumbsearch2):

What is the solution to the quadratic equation graphed below?

OpenStudy (dumbsearch2):

OpenStudy (ikram002p):

solution is :- x values when y=0

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

its a perfect square so find where the curve touched the x-axis

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok so a solution, root, and zero are all the same thing: each referring to when y = 0. If we set y = 0 in the equation we will get our x-intercepts - which are the zeroes, solutions, or roots.

OpenStudy (ikram002p):

try to find when the function intersect with x-axis point of intersect= solution

OpenStudy (dumbsearch2):

So does it equal x = 2?

OpenStudy (dumbsearch2):

@campbell_st May you help with this ?

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

thats correct

OpenStudy (dumbsearch2):

@ikram002p May you verify this?

OpenStudy (ikram002p):
