Simplify the expression:8(5a+6c) -6(2a+4c)/4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Distribute first and then tell me what you get.

OpenStudy (triciaal):

to distribute multiply what is outside the ( ) by each term inside the ( ) example 3( a + b ) = 3 * a + 3 * b

OpenStudy (triciaal):

if you like you can factor out a 2 first if everything is divided by 4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

8(5a+6c) -6(2a+4c)/4: 8(5a+8c) gives you 40a+64c 6(2a ++4c) gives you (-12a) (-24c) After this is where I am running into problems
