An object attached to a spring is being pulled across a flat frictionless surface. The spring constant is , the object is accelerating at and the mass of the object is 38 kg. What distance is the spring stretched?

OpenStudy (abhisar):

accn ?

OpenStudy (akohl):

K thanks

OpenStudy (abhisar):

what is the acceleration ?

OpenStudy (akohl):

Constant is 48n/m Acceleration is 1.1m/s^2

OpenStudy (abhisar):

It's the same as previous spring question.

OpenStudy (akohl):

How do I set it up

OpenStudy (abhisar):

F=ma and F=kx, Ma=kx now find x

OpenStudy (akohl):

I did 38*1.1 and divided by 48. I got .87. That's right?

OpenStudy (abhisar):
