which innovation led to an increase in cloth production at the begining of the industrial revolution? electric sweing machine steam engine bessemer process spinning jenny

OpenStudy (nurali):

The "Spinning Jenny" was invented by James Hargreaves this reduced the amount of work needed to produce yarn, with a worker able to work eight or more spools at once, rather than one as before. This grew to 120 as technology advanced. This dramatically increased the amount of yarn that could be produced which meant that ever increasing amounts of cheap cotton (and other fabrics) could be produced, meaning that cheap cotton clothing could be made.
