i dont know :/
Which proportion could be used to solve for the missing side length? Small triangle with no equal angles. Side lengths are six, four, and eight point three. Large triangle with no equal angles. Side lengths are s, twelve, and five. s over six equals eight point three over twelve four over five equals six over s twelve over eight point three equals six over s s over four equals six over five
can someone help :(
do you have a picture of it?

only assumption of the problem picture...
conditions are \[\frac{s}{6}=\frac{8.3}{12}~~~~~(1)\] \[\frac{4}{5}=\frac{6}{s}~~~~~(2)\] \[\frac{12}{8.3}=\frac{6}{s}~~~~~(3)\] \[\frac{s}{4}=\frac{6}{5}~~~~~(4)\]
ow, not conditions but choices... sorry... :)
of course... no unequal angles on both triangles but the included angles between the small and large triangles are the same or congruent... and so the proportions are the same for the sides...
there is an obvious answer comparing all four proportions... if you select smaller triangle side over larger triangle side on the left hand side, it must be the same pattern on the right hand side... among the four it is the second proportion seems correct... \[\frac{4}{5}=\frac{6}{s}\]
4 is for small triangle while 5 is for large triangle... as well as 6 is for small triangle and s if for large triangle...
for other 3 proportions, it is not like that... :)
