What kind of mixture is a classroom with students?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What does homogeneous and heterogeneous mean?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

heterogeneous means it has different parts you can plainly see while homogeneous means the opposite

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think so

OpenStudy (asib1214):

heterogeneous mixture is made of different substances that remain physically separate for example oil and water is a heterogeneous mixture. Homogeneous mixture is made when two different substances chemically react with each other and form a colorless and uniform mixture. Like when salt and water are both mixed together, they form a transparent, colorless and uniform solution meaning you can't really pin point the difference between water and salt when they're thoroughly mixed together because salt and water chemically reacted and formed a solution. Classroom with students is an example of a homogeneous mixture.

OpenStudy (joannablackwelder):

? I think it is heterogeneous. The students have not turned into one blob.

OpenStudy (joannablackwelder):

At least I hope not. Weird...
