if its an ounce of both they weigh the same...
They're both one ounce, which is a unit of measurement for weight.

1 ounce is a weight. If they both weigh 1 ounce, they both by definition weigh the same.
Feathers are measured in avoirdupois weight, gold is measured in troy weight....
