I need help writing an introduction?!!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

An intro to what kind of writing?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

"The Yearling" @IFlyInThe~Skiez0063

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I already have the organizer if you want to see it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That would be helpful.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

This is the Argumentative Organizer (In the student comment section) but if you read the actual assignment... im confused

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay so you have your topic. You need to state your key points of your argument and the main idea for the whole intro. That way in the next paragraph you can talk more about your argument.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thats my issue...@IFlyInThe~Skiez0063

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i dunno what else to put

A good introduction doesn't have to be very long. I would say five sentences at max. It's going to be the same length as your paragraphs. It should consist of some general information about the argument along with the key points of the argument. Since you've already chosen a side in the debate, just say why your part of the argument is right. So for instance it would start like this: The debate is about ___ and ___. I have taken the side of ___ for a few reasons. Basically after that you just hit the main key points of your argument. In the next paragraph you'll be writing more about the facts so don't go into too much detail about it.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Does that help?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i'll write it and see what you think..okay? and yes!!! wait..how should I start it out?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay and it should start out like: The topic of my argument is _____. Kinda sorta.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

l got it thanks!!

No prob :)
