How are the formulas for the volume of a pyramid and a cone derived?

The volume of each cone is equal to ⅓Bh = ⅓(28.3 × 10) = 94 ⅓ cm3. All three cones combined equals 283 cm3. The volume of the cylinder is equal to Bh = 28.3 × 10 = 283 cm3

the volume of a rectangular prism/cube is area of base x height and if you were to cut it three pyramids in a certain way, all thrree pyramids would have the same vulme and form the cube/prism thats why the vulme for pyramid is 1/3 x base x height
