Given the binomials (x - 1), (x - 3), (x + 3), and (x + 5), which one is a factor of f(x) = x3 + 6x2 + 12x + 35? (x - 1) (x - 3) (x + 3) (x + 5)

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

use the factor theorem is you know the binomials then you know the possible zeros x = 1, 3, -3 and -5 so to find the factor substitute the possible zero... so find f(1), f(3) f(-3) f(-5) the one that equals zero will give you the binomial that is a factor
