OpenStudy (anonymous):

i know you use cosh^2 x - sinh^2 x = 1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but how?

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

you may find `coshx` value using above relation

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

then use tanhx = sinhx/coshx ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so just sinh7/coshx ?

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

guess so..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

err..

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

we need to find coshx value first haha

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

cosh^2 x - sinh^2 x = 1 cosh^2 x - 7^2 = 1 cosh^2x = 1+7^2 = 50 \(\large \cos hx = \pm 5\sqrt{2}\)

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

\(\large \tan hx = \dfrac{\sin hx}{\cos hx} = \pm \dfrac{7}{5\sqrt{2}} \)

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

try entering that ^^

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yup works. that makes more sense. thanks

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):
