Help?

OpenStudy (camerondoherty):

Jake forgot to replace the cap on a bottle of deodorant. The deodorant began to evaporate at the rate of 12% per day. If the original amount of deodorant in the bottle was 30 grams, which of the following graphs best represents the amount of deodorant f(x) that would remain in the bottle after x days?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you are looking for a graph that show a decrease in the amount of deodorant @camerondoherty

OpenStudy (camerondoherty):

they all decrease

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh give me a min to figure it out @camerondoherty

OpenStudy (camerondoherty):

ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its either graph 1 and 4 but surely it has to be 1

OpenStudy (camerondoherty):

@dan815 can u help?

OpenStudy (camerondoherty):

i wanna kno how 2

OpenStudy (nikato):

U know the 'x" is for days. And it says the deodorant starts with 30 grams, which is on day 0. So what point must the line intercept?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The correct answer is A, because the initial value of f(x)=30, and this value are decreasing wich the time.

OpenStudy (camerondoherty):

(0,30)

OpenStudy (camerondoherty):

right?

OpenStudy (nikato):

Correct. And there's only one graph that crosses that point

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes.

OpenStudy (camerondoherty):

A right?

OpenStudy (nikato):

Correct. It's A

OpenStudy (camerondoherty):

Thank You Guyz!

OpenStudy (anonymous):
