@Astrophysics

OpenStudy (sweetnikkie072):

ques?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If the volume for 3-D polyhedra A is 300 cm3 and the volume for 3-D polyhedral B is 900 cm3, what is the percent of change from A to B?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@tanya123

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm having trouble understanding how to figure that out.

OpenStudy (sweetnikkie072):

final-initial/initial x 100

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@ninjasandtigers

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lets get to work

OpenStudy (sweetnikkie072):

(final value-initial value/initial value) * 100 (900-300/300) * 100

OpenStudy (sweetnikkie072):

you just have to find the percent change right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

your right

OpenStudy (sweetnikkie072):

so yeah this is the general formula which has to be used for all percent change!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes.. I got two hundred.. but that isn't an answer choice. :( Did I make a mistake? Sorry.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its ok

OpenStudy (sweetnikkie072):

no you r right..but..this is the formula..i dunno if the value provided are correct or no

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Wait. So if 900-300 is 600, and it moved up 600... and... isn't 600 300 percent of 300?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Or I may be completely off, I was just guessing, haha

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thats it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh, really? Great! Thank you both so much!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah its 300, sorry, i was working it out :P

OpenStudy (sweetnikkie072):

how? can u show the calculations..why m i getting 200?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh, it's okay! Thanks so much, all of you! Can I give medals to all three of you?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what half of 600

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):
