Calculus Time?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[(\sqrt{15}+2) * (2\sqrt{15}+4)\]

OpenStudy (neer2890):

\[=\sqrt{15}*2\sqrt{15}+\sqrt{15}*4+2*2\sqrt{15}+2*4\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so, i have to combine like terms

OpenStudy (neer2890):

\[=2*15+4\sqrt{15}+4\sqrt{15}+8=30+8\sqrt{15}+8=38+8\sqrt{15}\]

OpenStudy (neer2890):

first you have to use distributive property of algebra i.e., \[(a+b)(c+d)=ac+ad+bc+bd\] and then combine the like terms.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh ok got it right. Thanks

OpenStudy (neer2890):

you are welcome...:)
