OpenStudy (phi):

I would start by find the difference between the listed terms 1,3,9,19,33,51,73, 2, 6, 10, 14, 18, 22, ... now find the difference of this second sequence: 4,4,4,4,4... so we see the pattern. now work backwards. can you do that ?

OpenStudy (phi):

in other words, extend the sequence 2, 6, 10, 14, 18, 22 by adding 4 to find the next term. we get 26,30,34 add 26 to the last term in the original sequence, to get the next term

oh i understand now thank you

OpenStudy (phi):

so the next 3 terms are: 73+26 73+26+30 73+26+30+34

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so the next three numbers are 99 129 163 correct

@phi

OpenStudy (phi):

yes
