OpenStudy (samsan9):

what is the function of the oblique asymptote? h(x)=x^2-3x+4/x+2 A.)y=x B.)y=x+4 C.)y=x-4 D.)y=x-5

OpenStudy (satan ):

Do you know what an oblique asympotote is?

OpenStudy (samsan9):

no :/

OpenStudy (satan ):

It's pretty much a slant line in a graph.

OpenStudy (satan ):

Since the top power is higher, just use long division to find the equation of the asym. Since it's just a linear function, you could also use synthetic division.

OpenStudy (samsan9):

i got x-5

OpenStudy (satan ):

That's right :)
