The absolute value of x means ______. A. the positive value of x B. the negative value of x C. the distance of x from zero D. the largest possible value of x

OpenStudy (andriod09):

Genny, the absolute value of something turns it positive, meaning that if something was \[|-3|\] it would become \[3\] this being said, it would mean that \[x\] and \[-x\] are both positive. :)

OpenStudy (genny7):

thanks :)
