This is relatively simple then- Do you know the distance formula?

Yes D= (X2-X1)^2 + (Y2-Y1)^2

Great! Now just use that formula to determine the edges of the rectangles (length and width only, but for both). Similarity just means they have a common ration. for instance 15:5 is similar 3:1

So jsut check for a common ratio after you have the measurements.
