OpenStudy (annie96):

Refer to the diagram and name the points on the axes 9 units from the origin. (Points : 1) D, Z, L L, P P, J J, E

OpenStudy (anonymous):

We can use the distance formula to find this, and since only one of the answers lets find the distance between point D and the Origin. O\(\large(0,0)\) D\(\large(-9,9)\) The distance formula: \(\sqrt{(x2-x1)^2+(y2-y1)^2}\)

OpenStudy (annie96):

I think its B or C

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\(\sqrt{(-9-0)^2+(9-0)^2}\) \(\sqrt{(-9)^2+(9)^2}\)=\(\sqrt{81+81}\)=\(\sqrt{162}\) This is wrong... lets solve for the distance to J O\((0,0)\) J\((-9,0)\) \(\sqrt{(-9-0)^2+(0-0)^2}\)=\(\sqrt{81}\) This is correct. lets solve for P O\((0,0)\) P\((0,-9)\) \(\sqrt{(0-0)^2+(-9-0)^2}\)=\(\sqrt{81}\) There is your answer! It is J,P
