Which of the following statements would be made by someone arguing against new nuclear power plants? Nuclear energy is too expensive to use, so most consumers would not be able to afford it. Nuclear energy cannot be extracted and placed on the market as quickly as fossil fuels can be. Nuclear energy production produces a security risk, and many communities do not wish to have a plant nearby. Nuclear energy is no better for the environment than fossil fuels.

I think the most obvious choice is C. Generally, any sort of nuclear technology produces a security risk greater than the technology used for producing other conventional forms of energy. Accidents and mismanagement can have significant consequences (just look at the recent Fukushima meltdown). Furthermore, the question of how to properly handle radioactive waste and where to dispose of it is a very serious concern.
