-8p>-48 the greater than sign is expose to have a line under it.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok. To write this on a computer, you can write it as -8p=>-28 Do you have an idea as to how you would solve this question?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

maybe add -8 to both sides @NinjaDevo

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Not quite... Remeber -8p is saying -8 TIMES p So we would really need to divide both sides by -8. A weird rule you have to remember when dealing with questions like this is that if you multiply or divide both sides by a negative, you have to switch the sign So we get x <=3.5 This means that x can be 3.5, or anything smaller than 3.5. Does this make sense?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sortve so if i did the math would i get p>6 @NinjaDevo ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I was writing the wrong equation in my answer. Sorry about that. Yes your almost right twix, but it would actually be p<6 because if you multiply or divide both sides by a negative, you have to switch the > sign to a < sign. It's a weird rule..but it's just something you have to remember.

yeah noticed that after. thanks for all the help. How do i give u a medal @NinjaDevo

To give someone a metal you can click the "Best response" button next to their post. The metal would be appreciated :)
