Need Geometry Help!

OpenStudy (mathmate):

Hint: Use Heron's formula for the area of a triangle with lengths of 3 sides a,b,c known. p=(a+b+c)/2 \(Area=\sqrt{p(p-a)(p-b)(p-c)}\) If I were to guess, the base is 21, and the height is approx. 10, that gives me an idea which one to choose.

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

hmm if BE is a diameter and GE is a tangent then they're both meeting or intersecting at the "point of tangency" |dw:1405728101562:dw|

OpenStudy (anonymous):

How does that help?

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I understand what you're saying but I just don't know what to do.

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

well... do you know what's being asked?

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

|dw:1405728313068:dw|

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes it's asking me to find m<GEB

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

well.... |dw:1405728410099:dw|

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm not sure what you're trying to tell me

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Omg I feel dumb. Thank you very much
