Photosynthesis by bacteria produced ____ as a waste product. a. glucose b. carbon dioxide c. oxygen d. all of these are produced by photosynthesis
I thought c at first, but now I am thinking about it when it said bacteria.
in photosynthesis carbon-dioxide is used. So it is dfntly not the correct answer !
I know it wasn't that one.
No it's okay...photosynthesis performed by bacteria like cyanobacteria is similar to that of plants.
And glucose is what is made to be used for energy, so that couldn't be it either.
correct !
So the correct answer will be ?
Oh, so oxygen is the correct answer! I just got confused when it mentioned bacteria.
yeah it's the correct answer ! :)
Thanks!

Though the question is poorly worded ! There are some bacteria which perform non-oxygenic photosynthesis.
Yeah, my school has a lot of that.
Just for ur knowledge there are some bacteria collectively called as sulfur bacteria performs non-oxygenic photosynthesis and do not use water as a substrate and thus do not produce oxygen.
But still seeing ur options, oxygen is the only possible answer !
Thanks, I was needing to know about that for some further assignments. :)

it is not poorly worded :) waste-product is the keyword
That's what i am saying @nincompoop , oxygen is not produced by every bacteria.
