English help please?

Maybe I can help?

Choose an event, current or historical and explain how it is usually viewed. Next using the Marxist or feminist critical literary theory, explain how the event would be viewed. How does viewing the event through a different perspective affect you interpretation of it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Hhm... What kind of help do you need for it? :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well I honestly can't think of any event to be honest. And I don't really know how to explain it in the feminist or Marxist point of view

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Abhisar Maybe you could help?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I see how you're having problems, that would be mine too. Maybe research some events that have to do with feminist or marxist point of view. That way it would be easier to explain the viewing of it.

Ohh ok! Thanks so much! :)

You're really welcome! :)

Well, the Cold War is probably the easiest for the Marxist point of view. You could be from a communist country, like the Soviet Union, China, Sweden, etc. and tell how it benefits you to live in a socialist regime. Give points on why the liberal countries like the US and Great Britain were having difficulties and why they are bad. For a feminist point of view, you can do the early 1900s, during and after the first world war, when females were given the right to vote (being 30 and older though). Or, for a female point of view, use one of the world wars and explain how you had to find a job to support and provide for your family, since your husband is gone. Talk of rights and liberties you were gaining, like education and unions. Talk of discrimination you were facing.
