I will gove a medal, please help, I am so stuck on this!!!! Triangle ABC is congruent to triangle DEF. In triangle ABC, side AB measures 4, side BC measures x+8, and side CA measures 8. In triangle DEF, side DE measures 4, side EF measures 3x+3, and side FD measures 8. What equation would help you to solve for the side length of BC and EF? Explain your reasoning using complete sentences.
Although some whizzes could do this problem without a diagram, I'd very strong suggest that you draw such a diagram. I trust you know that "congruent" in this case means that the triangles have exactly the same angles, and that each of the three sides of one triangle has its exact match in the diagram of the other triangle. Have you used the Draw utility before? If so, draw two identical (congruent) triangles and label their vertices: A, B and C, and then D, E and F.
Although I have other things to do right now and am leaving OpenStudy for a while, i will definitely be logged on again later this evening, in case you've responded.
Iam here
but for me it is very confusing
I am never good at geometry
Please, seriously, say, "With some time and effort I should be able to understand this geometry just fine." You most likely know the shape of a triangle. I'm asking you to draw two congruent triangles. As before, that means that the corresponding sides are of = length and the corresponding angles are equal.|dw:1405826792722:dw|
