what is difference betwwen ic and opamp???

OpenStudy (kenljw):

IC stands for Integrated Circuit on a chip, and Op-Amp are IC's that is used in a linear manner. Most people think IC's are just digital but initially they were, and still are, use to develop various analog devises. Originally there may have only been 10 to 20 transistors on a IC that was used to develop Op-Amps, while today you may find a million transistor on a IC preforming many function both digital and analog.
