Albinism is the result of a homozygous recessive allele. Suppose one parent is homozygous and the other is heterozygous. What genotype might their offspring be? What phenotype?
Parent homozygous 4 albinism?
ewaskow?
I am unsure. That is all the question tells me.
So I'll tell u both the options ok so C stands for normal allele ,c stands for albinism allele so if parent is homozygous recessive allele for albinism that is 'cc' and heterozygous so it must be 'Cc' so the offspring produce are two heterozygous that is Cc carrier for albinism and other two offspring are two homozygous recessive that is cc for albinism
And the second option is if one parent is homozygous dominant that is CC which is the normal allele and other parent is heterozygous that is Cc which is the carrier allele for albinism so the chances of offspring produce are two normal allele that is CC and the other two offspring produce chance is two heterozygous carrier allele for albinism that is Cc
I hope u got it ewaskow?
