A jet makes a landing traveling due east with a speed of 130 m/s. If the jet comes to rest in 11.0 s, what is the magnitude and direction of its average acceleration?

OpenStudy (agreene):

you can assume the direction isnt going to change, so the direction will continue to be east. Depending on the class, that part of the answer can be shown in a few different ways, so I cant really help with that. The magnitude question is basically saying, the plane is moving at 130 m/s and after 11.0 s it is moving at 0 m/s. Acceleration being \[\frac{\Delta v}{t}\] you just need to do the math of finding out the change of the velocity (speed with direction) divided by the time it took.

thanks!
