Gasoline was rationed during World War II because there were no gas stations. it was in short supply. prices were high. prices were low.

well, yes gas was expensive but I think the answer here is that it was in short supply. During WWII everyone was trying to save their gas to use for tanks and the military effort and so because all of it was being thrown into the war effort the civilians didn't get a lot. The answer should be B.
