OpenStudy (aum):

The end behavior of a polynomial is decide by the end behavior of the leading term of the polynomial.

OpenStudy (aum):

Not just the coefficient but the leading term which is -2x^4. The exponent is an even term and the end behavior will be similar to x^2 Here the coefficient is negative and so the the end behavior will be similar to -x^2

OpenStudy (aum):

There are two ends: left and right. You will have to say what happens to each end.

OpenStudy (aum):

x^2 looks like like a U -x^2 looks like an inverted U. So left end will be down and the right end will be down. Answer: Both ends down.

OpenStudy (aum):

Isn't that what a U and inverted U will look like?

OpenStudy (aum):

upside down U
