First we want to factor $x^2+3x-10$, to find the length. 
We already know that one of them is, so to find the length we find what number  2x=-10, and added together=3, in this case it is -5.
So factored it is $(x+5)(x-2)$
so now we know the Length is x+5 and the width is x-2
We plug in 14, $(14+5)x(14-2)$
