What is the surface area of the pyramid?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (dannyrod2000):

ok so what is the formula for surface area of a pyramid?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I don't really know. There's too many.

OpenStudy (dannyrod2000):

you would have to memorize it.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No.

OpenStudy (ikram002p):

surface area of the pyramid= 4 * one triangle area + base area

OpenStudy (ikram002p):

so u need to count first atriangle area triangle are = 0.5 height*base can u calculate it ?

OpenStudy (ikram002p):

|dw:1405922927890:dw|

OpenStudy (ikram002p):

so area of triangle = 0.5 *10*7= 35

OpenStudy (ikram002p):

how ever nw u need to calculate base area as u can note its square so area =side ^2 =7^2=49

OpenStudy (ikram002p):

nw back to pyramid surface area of the pyramid= 4 * one triangle area + base area =4*35 + 49 done ^^

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Is it 189?

OpenStudy (dannyrod2000):

yes it is.

OpenStudy (dannyrod2000):

thanks for the medal @ikram002p

OpenStudy (ikram002p):
