I WILL GIVE U A MEDAL! and become a fan Natalie performs a chemistry experiment where she records the temperature of an ongoing reaction. The solution is 93.5º C after 3 minutes; 90º C after 5 minutes, 84.8 C after 9 minutes; 70.2º C after 18 minute; 54.4º C after 30 minutes; 42.5ºC after 37 minutes; and 24.9º C after 48 minutes. Perform a linear regression on this data to complete the following items. write the equation of the best fitting line. (round to the nearest thousandths)
I wrote down y=-1.5908x+101.33 I dont know if I'm right or wrong
can u help @ganeshie8
??ny help is appreciated
@kropot72 are u able to help
You can check out your equation by plugging given v alues into it.
okay another thing..
if natelies solution is expected to freeze at -7c how many minutes into the experiment should the solution freeze?
its either x=69 minutes or 68
My calculator gives the equation of the best fitting line as: y = -1.506x + 98.019 Using this equation, put the value of y as -7, then solve for x.
Ahh okay I already have all the work done. its x=69.7524 minutes which rounds to 70
Good work!
