Which of the following is a reason why cells divide? A. to decrease their amount of RNA B. to increase the volume of their cytoplasm C. to mutate their DNA D. to maintain a surface area large enough to support their cytoplasm

OpenStudy (agreene):

Which do you think it is?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

C?

OpenStudy (agreene):

I had to think for a bit, because I don't feel like any of them are correct honestly. But, I would agree with you, C. My reasoning is this: Cells divide to repair cell damage and dna damage, which could occur due to mutations in DNA

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay :)
