HELP! The decade of the 1920s was one where traditional values collided with modern changes. Some examples to use in your analysis would be the rise of the Klan, the new immigration laws of the early 1920s, the changing role of women, the rise of the jazz age, the Scopes trial. Please address at least three.

Think about it. World War I had just ended, Spanish influenza or flu had killed 20 million people worldwide , and alcohol prohibition had not yet started. The airplane had been refined during the war and automobiles were being mass produced. So there was a feeling of freedoms and new horizons.. There was the rise of gangsters like Al Capone, jazz, ragtime, and Broadway musicals. Hollywood was on the rise with glamorous stars. See Charlie Chaplin. Gloria Swanson, and others Jazz and other music was coming into popularity and big bands. This is the environment as the 1920s began. It ended with the Great Depression and Stock Market Crash in 1929.
