Please help me!! 12= -7x - x^2. The two possible solutions possible are in the form of x=a and x= b. Evaluate a^2 + b^2 + a+b=

When you factor this to find your a and b, you get (x+4)(x+3). Setting those equal to zero you get that x = -4 and x = -3. Evaluating a^2 + b^2 + (is that ab or a + b?) Please let me know if that is supposed to be a times b or a plus b.
