Graph the solution set of the system of inequalities or indicate that the system has no solution. y ≥ 2x – 4 x + 2y ≤ 7 y ≥ -2 x ≤ 1 How do you even graph these?
I feel like they can't be plugged in while in this format
lets graph the first inequality

what's the little square for
knw how to gaph `y ≥ 2x – 4 ` ?
no sir...
sorry, its supposed to be Origin, `O`
how about graphing a line ? can u sketch a line : `y = 2x - 4` ?
|dw:1405981321422:dw| I got this in my graphing calc o.o
Excellent !
that line represents the equation `y = 2x – 4` since `y ≥ 2x – 4` represents all the values that are atleast 2x-4, this inequality represents ALL the regon above that line.
her eis the graph for inequality : ` y ≥ 2x – 4`
notice that the inequality represents the ENTIRE region above the line
Oh yea...you actually graph the linear equation but depending on whether the inequality is greater or less than...dictates which side of the line gets shaded...or can it only be shaded if it's greater than or EQUAL to/less than or EQUAL to? Or am I thinking about the number line where you shade in the circle for the equal to inequalities?
You're correct ! graphing an inequality is a two step process : 1) graph the corresponding line 2) shade the region UP/DOWN the line based on inequality
Lets graph the second inequality
`x + 2y ≤ 7 `
we better change it to slope intercept form : x + 2y ≤ 7 2y <= -x + 7 y <= -x/2 - 7/2
graph the corresponding line, and shade the region
